A darkly comic monologue that brings us into the troubled mind of Roach, a man in crisis who, driven mad by the pressures of modern society, has resorted to living out his days in a commercial waste wheelie bin.

From this pulpit of capitalist compost, Roach takes us on a warped journey: from his heyday in the Britpop 90s, through to his fall from grace in the tech-crazy Noughties and beyond – ultimately, sharing how he became a king amongst vermin in the godforsaken rubbish tip he now lives.

Part social satire, part cautionary tale, Robin Cantwell’s Bad Moult won the Cambridge Creatives Playwrighting Award 2023 and sees its world premiere at here at HOME.
